Among the many projects i worked on with Nickelodeon, the expanding of their splat logo library and the Kids Choice Awards identity project where my favorite. Both projects allowed me to leave my desk and go work outside.
For the splat library I played in the park experimenting with the way slime falls and splats on the ground. After making hundreds of splats, it became clear how some looked better than others. Then it was time to scan & vectorize. I also created a smaller library of 3D splats.I created the KCA type by photographing objects around New York City that resembled letter forms. Then it was time for the Photoshop pen tool & the delete key.
